This is really a comment on the solution given by Dave S...
I'm new to Notes and I find it clunky compared to Outlook. Having to type in commonly used email addresses is just one example, so I was delighted to find a way to avoid this. Unfortunately the Notes implementation at my new employer does not include a Contacts option under File -> Preferences. Are there any other ways to achieve the same thing?
