After realising that a lot of people are ill-informed about Lotus Notes / Domino and its capabilities, I have established this blog (built on Lotus Notes!). With your help, I aim to set the record straight. Please help me redress the balance by sharing your experiences of Lotus Notes and posting all things good about the product - how you use it, how it helps you and how it helps your organisation.  Blog away!

I am looking for a way to uninstall any previous version of Lotus Notes (pre-8.5.3) so that I can install 8.5.3.
I know the uninstall string for 8.5.2, but is there a general way to uninstall via script for any previous version? Thank you.

If you have access to Passport Advantage there is a utility called nice (Lotus Notes Install Cleanup Executable). According to the accompanying doc it works for 6.5, 7.0. 8.0, 8.5.

Hope that helps.

You should be able to use the Standard Windows uninstaller. WHen installingt a new version different from what you had I suggest that you choose a different location for your data directory. You can then copy back into the new directory any .nsf's that you need.

Nice is only usefull for cleaning up a failed install, it will not actually uninstall Notes its self. But a nice tool never the less
